Description
Love a bit of heat with your sweet? Try this easy hot honey recipe. It's the perfect condiment to drizzle over eggs, popcorn chicken or pan-fried haloumi.
Instruction tip
Tip:Don’t let the honey boil as it will become too thick and sticky, and will burn. Strain mixture through a fine sieve for less heat, then pour it into an airtight glass jar. If you choose not to strain your honey, it will get spicier over time.
Method
Step 1 of 3
Place honey and chilli flakes in a frying pan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally. (This will take about 3 minutes.)
Step 2 of 3
Remove from heat and set aside for 10-15 minutes to allow flavours to infuse.
Step 3 of 3
Stir in vinegar. Serve.
