Description
A creamy pumpkin based fried snack with a savoury sesame seed coating.
Method
Step 1 of 7
Prepare the pumpkin by removing the seeds and skin and then cut the flesh into small chunks.
Step 2 of 7
Heat up a non-stick pan to a medium heat and fry the pumpkin for 10 minutes, turning occasionally.
Step 3 of 7
Once cooked, remove from the heat and transfer to a mixing bowl and add the sugar.
Step 4 of 7
Mash the pumpkin and sugar together while the pumpkin is warm to melt the sugar and then allow to cool.
Step 5 of 7
Add the flour to the bowl and combine fully.
Step 6 of 7
Divide the dough into 12 balls and flatten into small patties, place some cream cheese in the centre and fold edges to cover the cheese and then dip into the sesame seeds to lightly coat.
Step 7 of 7
Put your pan back onto the heat, add the sesame oil and fry the patties for 10 minutes turning halfway until they are golden brown and ready to serve.
