Description

Discover our delicous brigadeiros recipe. These bite-sized chocolate treats are a Brazilian favourite, made with condensed milk and cocoa powder. Try them today.

Method

Step 1 of 4

To make this Brazilian speciality, place one 400g can condensed milk, 3 tbsp cocoa powder and 1 tbsp unsalted butter in a heavy-based pan and bring to the boil, stirring constantly until combined.

Step 2 of 4

Reduce to a low heat and continue to cook, stirring constantly for 10-15 minutes, until the mixture is very thick and a spoon dragged across the base of the pan will separate the mixture for a few seconds.

Step 3 of 4

Turn the mixture out onto a buttered plate and cool to room temperature. Cover with cling film and chill for at least 4 hours until firm.

Step 4 of 4

Lightly grease your hands with a little softened butter and roll the mixture into walnut-sized balls. Roll the balls in chocolate sprinkles until completely covered, then serve. Store, covered in the fridge, for up to 5 days.
