Description
If you're looking for toastie inspiration, look no further. Crisp, sweet apple pairs perfectly with strong and creamy gruyere in this sensational sandwich.
Method
Step 1 of 2
Spread 1 side of each slice of bread with butter. Turn over half of the slices, then spread each with 1 tsp mustard. Top each with apple, cucumber, onion and gruyère. Season. Sandwich with remaining bread slices, buttered-sides up.
Step 2 of 2
Heat a sandwich press or large frying pan over medium heat. Cook sandwiches, 2 at a time, for 3 minutes on each side or until cheese has melted and bread is golden. Serve.
