When it comes to loose fruit & veg like bananas, our smart scales know what you're weighing, all you need to do is simply place produce on the scale and scan the barcode that appears on-screen.
For fruit & veg like avocados, you can use the smart scales to add the quantity, and then scan the barcode. For packaged fruit and veg that has a barcode, simply scan using your phone.
Yes. You'll need to purchase the following items via the service desk:
Some products like knives, alcohol, matches and lighters are age-restricted and need authorisation. If this is the case, you can still scan them and a team member will be alerted to help you pay for these items at the Scan&Go checkout.
Some products have quantity restrictions including baby formula and analgesics. The app will alert you of any restrictions as you shop.
We'll generate a parking voucher within a minute or so for every Scan&Go shop when you reach the minimum spend (please check with your store for minimum spend required).
You can find your parking voucher on your in-app receipt. Plus, we'll send you a notification once it's ready (if you have notifications activated, that is). You can turn on push notifications via 'More' > 'Allow Push Notifications' in the app.
To cancel, press the menu icon on the top left in the Woolworths app then Cancel shop. Don't forget to return any bagged items.
To pause your Scan&Go shop:
Note: If you pause your shop, we can only save your cart for 15 minutes.
From time to time, a team member may check up to 5 of your items to make sure you're charged correctly. This should only take a minute. Any items that weren't scanned can easily be purchased and any items you no longer want can be removed at checkout.
We're always working to improve our experience and will be adding gift card payments and other options in the near future. In the meantime, you can pay by card in the app or at the PIN pad at our dedicated Scan&Go checkouts.
Your card in the app may be invalid or have expired. Simply update your card details via the My Account section in the Scan&Go menu of the app. You can assign up to two cards and update or delete them at any time.
When you register your payment method with Scan&Go, we collect a temporary $0.01 pre-authorisation from your card (which can take up to 30 days to be released depending on your financial institution).
