  • 1/2 cup no-added-salt tomato paste
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1teaspoons dried oregano
  • 3 sheets reduced-fat puff pastry, just thawed
  • 2 button mushrooms, chopped
  • 2tablespoons sliced black olives, chopped
  • 1/2 small red capsicum, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups vegan reduced-fat mozzarella, grated
  • 1packets Vegie Delights Hot Dogs
  • 1/4 bunch continental parsley , leaves chopped

Description

Enjoy the flavours of pizza and hot dogs in one bite with these fun and easy-to-make vegetarian pinwheels. Perfect for your next summer gathering.

Method

Step 1 of 3

Preheat oven to 200°C. Line 2 baking trays with baking paper. Combine tomato paste, garlic and oregano in a bowl.

Step 2 of 3

To make 8 pinwheels, spread 1 sheet of pastry with the tomato mixture. Sprinkle with one-third of the mushroom, olives and capsicum, then top with 1/2 cup mozzarella. Place 2 hot dogs on the closest edge of the pastry. Roll tightly into a log and press seam to seal. Slice roll into 8 pinwheels. Repeat with remaining ingredients to make 24 pinwheels in total.

Arrange pinwheels, cut-side up, side by side on prepared tray. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden and crispy. Sprinkle with parsley. Serve.
