- 2 sheets Woolworths frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 1 orange, zested
- 1/2 cup cream cheese
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 3teaspoons honey
- 1tablespoons pistachio, crushed
Description
With the perfect balance of sweet and citrusy notes, these delectable pistachio, honey and orange pastry scrolls will be the talk of any celebration.
Method
Step 1 of 3
Preheat oven to 200°C/180°C fan-forced. Place pastry on a large baking sheet lined with baking paper. Cut each sheet into 4 squares. Mix orange zest, cream cheese and sugar in a small bowl. Place 1 heaped tablespoonful of the cream-cheese mixture in the centre of each pastry square.
Step 2 of 3
Half fold the corners of the pastry square over the cream-cheese mixture. Slice 2 x 0.5cm-thick orange rounds, then cut each slice into quarters. Place an orange quarter over the cream-cheese mixture in the centre of each pastry.
Step 3 of 3
Whisk egg, 2 tsp honey and 1 tsp water in a small bowl. Brush each pastry generously with egg wash, then bake in the oven for 18-20 minutes until golden. Brush warm pastries with remaining honey. Sprinkle with pistachio. Serve warm.
