  • 1 medium white onion, diced
  • 30grams butter
  • 450grams peas, frozen or garden peas
  • 1tablespoons canola oil
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/3 cup cream

Description

A creamy pea side dish studded with crunchy bacon.

Method

Step 1 of 2

Heat up a non-stick pot to a medium heat with the canola oil. Fry the chopped smoky bacon for 2 minutes until it starts to turn brown.

Step 2 of 2

Now add the diced onion and butter and fry for a further 2 minutes while mixing. Add the peas and cream and fry for a further 3 minutes or until the cream has reduced by half. Remove from the heat and use salt and pepper to taste.
