Description

These bite-sized okonomiyaki fritters have a crispy exterior and a soft, flavourful interior, making them a fun and delicious finger food for kids.

Method

Step 1 of 3

Combine cabbage, breadcrumbs and three-quarters of the onion in a large bowl. Add eggs and stir to combine. Set aside for 10 minutes.

Step 2 of 3

Heat half of the oil in a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Using 1/4 cup measurement, pour 3 quantities of cabbage mixture into pan and flatten slightly. Cook for 2 minutes each side or until golden and cooked. Transfer to a plate. Cover to keep warm. Repeat to make 12 fritters in total, topping up oil when necessary.

Step 3 of 3

Drizzle fritters with mayonnaise. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, ginger and remaining onion. Serve.
