- 8 Woolworths traditional hot cross buns
- 75grams unsalted butter, softened
- 300milliliter thickened cream
- 1 cup Woolworths milk
- 1/4 cup caster sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 100grams dark chocolate baking chips
- 6 scoops vanilla ice-cream, to serve
- 125grams raspberries
Description
The ultimate Easter indulgence, this double chocolate hot-cross-bun pudding is easy to make and perfect for a crowd.
Method
Step 1 of 4
Preheat oven to 190°C/170°C fan-forced. Cut buns in half. Butter the cut side of each bun.
Step 2 of 4
Place bun bases into a greased 2L (8-cup capacity) baking dish.
Step 3 of 4
In a medium bowl, whisk together cream, milk, sugar and cocoa powder. Pour over bun bases and top with bun lids. Set aside for 15 minutes for buns to soak up some of the liquid.
Step 4 of 4
Sprinkle with chocolate chips. Cover loosely with foil. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until just set. Serve with ice-cream and raspberries.
