  • 250grams fresh pizza dough ball
  • 1 carrot
  • 1/4 cup no-added-salt tomato paste
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 tomato , thinly sliced
  • 1/3 cup mozzarella
  • 12 green beans, cut in half

Description

With a tasty blend of oregano, tomato and mozzarella, these delightful pizza slices shaped like carrots will keep the kids happy during Easter holidays.

Method

Step 1 of 3

Preheat oven to 200°C/180°C fan-forced. Line a round baking tray with baking paper. Bring pizza dough to room temperature. Add carrot to a small saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil over high heat and cook carrot for 4-5 minutes until tender. Drain, then add carrot and 1/4 cup water to a small blender and blend to a smooth purée. Add tomato paste, garlic and oregano to purée and mix well.

Place pizza dough on prepared tray and stretch to form a 24cm-wide circle. Spoon half of the carrot sauce onto the dough and spread evenly. Top with tomato. Sprinkle mozzarella and bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden and mozzarella is melted.

Step 3 of 3

Cut pizza into 8 slices. To serve, garnish each slice with 3 beans along the curved edge.
