  • 500grams apples, cored, roughly chopped
  • 1/4 cup caster sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2teaspoons ground cinnamon

Description

Transform simple apples into a velvety smooth butter with a touch of lemon, vanilla and warm cinnamon spice.

Method

Step 1 of 3

Add apple, sugars, lemon juice and vanilla extract to a saucepan on medium heat. When sugars have dissolved and started bubbling, reduce heat to medium-low. Cover and simmer for 25 minutes until apples are cooked.

Step 2 of 3

Remove from heat and cool slightly. Add apple mixture to a blender along with ¼ cup water and blend until smooth.

Step 3 of 3

Add cinnamon, mix well and store in a sterilised glass jar in the fridge, ready to use.
