Description

Indulge in some protein doughnuts air-fried to perfection with a crispy exterior and soft, fluffy interior.

Method

Step 1 of 3

Preheat a 5L air fryer at 180°C for 10 minutes. Place 1 tsp yoghurt in a small bowl with 2 tsp water and mix well to combine. Reserve. Combine remaining yoghurt with flour in a large bowl.

Step 2 of 3

Using a butter knife, stir until mixture starts to come together. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead until smooth. Roll out until 1cm thick. Using a 7cm round cutter, cut out 5 doughnut rings, re-rolling dough as necessary. Using a 3cm round cutter, cut out centre of each ring.

Step 3 of 3

Brush tops with reserved yoghurt mixture. Air fry doughnut rings and balls for 8 minutes or until golden brown. Brush warm doughnuts with butter. Toss in combined sugar and cinnamon. Serve with extra yoghurt and chocolate sauce for dipping.
