What is relationship between Variety and Woolworths?
Variety has partnered with Woolworths since 2013 and during that time has raised a significant amount of money through many activities. The partnership with Woolworths is a true community initiative, with input from Woolworths Head office, State office and stores state-wide, customers and over 600 volunteers who work together to help make a difference. Stores fundraise through creative initiatives, including Fresh Community Fairs, BBQs, bake sales, raffles and Gala dinners.
The fundraising focus for Woolworths is on Variety’s mobility program – providing equipment to children, families and schools, enabling them to more easily participate in their local communities.
This funding supports equipment such as wheelchairs, modified family vehicles and Sunshine Coaches, school coaches modified for wheelchair access. This allows families and schools with children requiring this equipment to travel and experience life’s joy together.
