Dhuwa / dee : wah / "To feel alive" in Bidjara language. Artwork by Jyi Lawton Inspired by the vibrant sandstone cliffs of Carnarvon Gorge, located in the central highlands of Queensland. The long sinuous form throughout the painting represents the rainbow serpent Mundagurra, one of our creation ancestors. Mundagurra createdthe cliffs, mountains and rivers of Carnarvon Gorge, and embodies the true sense of Dhuwa. Dhuwa acknowledges the many unceded sovereign Indigenous nations that we live and work in. We thank them for allowing us to walk their lands in safety and acknowledge their struggles for recognition by ensuring that we respect their ancestral knowledge, elders and leaders in our everyday business practices. Indigenous owned and operated, in partnership with Griffiths Bros Coffee Roasters.
