  • 1teaspoons chilli powder

Description

This versatile, flavour-packed Lebanese salad (a beloved family recipe) will be a hit at your next dinner party. Serve as a light side dish or refreshing main course.

Method

Step 1 of 3

Place wheat in a small bowl of warm water to soak for 30 minutes. Place parsley and mint in another small bowl, then fill with water, 2 tsp salt. Allow to soak.

Step 2 of 3

Dice tomatoes into equal 1x1cm squares and add to a large bowl. Add onion to tomato. Using a strainer, rinse parsley and mint with cold water, then add to tomato mixture.

Step 3 of 3

Strain wheat and add to tomato mixture. Add lemon juice, olive oil and chilli powder. Season and stir. Serve.
