  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • 1 medium lemon, zest
  • 6 sheets filo pastry, rectangular

Description

Silverbeet replaces spinach in these cheesy filo pastry pies.

Method

Step 1 of 4

Heat a drizzle of the oil in a large pan on medium heat and cook the onion for 5 minutes. Stir in the garlic, silverbeet and kale and cook for 3 minutes, until wilted. Tip into a large bowl and leave to cool.

Step 2 of 4

Pre-heat the oven to 200°C. Add the feta, dill, nutmeg and lemon to the greens and mix well.

Step 3 of 4

Layer a muffin tin with 4 squares of filo pastry in each, brushing with oil in between. Fill each cup with feta mix. Repeat with the rest of the pastry and filling.

Step 4 of 4

Bake for 20-25 minutes until crispy and golden.
