Ricotta and Cinnamon Cream Dumplings

- 250grams full fat ricotta cheese
- 200grams plain flour
- 2 eggs
- 100milliliter water, cold
- 150milliliter full fat thickened cream
- 4teaspoons white sugar
- 1/2teaspoons cinnamon, ground
Description
A wonderful recipe to enjoy for brunch, dessert, or as a quick and tasty afternoon snack.
Method
Step 1 of 8
Place ricotta cheese, flour, eggs and water in a medium bowl.

Using a tablespoon, mix to combine until mixture reaches a smooth but slightly sloppy consistency.

In a medium saucepan, boil some salted water.
Step 4 of 8
Place one tablespoon of the mixture into the pot of boiling water. Repeat until entire mixture is used up.

The dumplings will be fully cooked when they start raising to the top. This should take about 5 minutes.

Once cooked, drain dumplings using a sieve, or slotted spoon.
Step 7 of 8
Serve dumplings in a bowl. Top with cinnamon cream and an extra sprinkling of ground cinnamon (if desired). Enjoy. :)

To make cinnamon cream, place the thickened cream, sugar and ground cinnamon in a mug. Stir until the sugar completely dissolves. This will take about 1 minute.
