- 1/4 cup flour
- 125grams wheel Woolworths triple cream brie
- 1L vegetable oil, for deep frying
- 2 free range eggs, beaten
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 jar Macro Organic tomato chutney
- 1tablespoons picked thyme leaves, plus extra to serve
- 5 slices prosciutto
Method
Step 1 of 3
Place cheese in the freezer for 10 minutes to firm. Meanwhile, fill a medium saucepan halfway with vegetable oil and heat on medium heat.
Step 2 of 3
Remove the cheese from the freezer, sprinkle with thyme and wrap in prosciutto, overlapping slices to ensure all surfaces of the cheese are covered. Lightly coat cheese wheel in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs. Dip a second time into the egg, then again into the breadcrumbs.
Step 3 of 3
Deep fry cheese for 2-3 minutes or until crumbs are golden brown, then remove from oil and drain on paper towel. Serve with chutney and bread if desired.
