Malted Caramilk Crumble
  • 1/2 cup cornflakes, crushed
  • 50grams Caramilk chocolate, melted
  • 1tablespoons malted milk powder
  • 300milliliter thickened cream
  • 1teaspoons vanilla bean paste
  • 460grams Woolworths double unfilled sponge cakes
  • 2tablespoons apricot jam
  • 2 yellow peaches, halved, destoned, thinly sliced into wedges

Description

Whip up this spectacular cake in a flash for an easy dessert. Peaches and cream are the perfect summer combo and the Caramilk crumble is a must-try.

Method

Step 1 of 3

To make the malted Caramilk crumble, place ingredients in a medium bowl and stir to combine. Refrigerate for 10 minutes or until set. Using hands, crumble mixture to form a coarse crumb.

Using an electric mixer, beat cream and vanilla until soft peaks form.
Instruction tip
Tip:

You need about 2 1/2 cups corn kernels for this recipe. Use corn cobs in stocks or soups to add extra flavour.

Step 3 of 3

Place one cake on a serving plate. Spread with half of the jam, then half of the cream mixture. Scatter with half of the crumble and half of the peach. Top with remaining cake, jam, cream mixture, crumble and peach. Serve.
