  • 400grams broccoli
  • 2tablespoons parmesan, grated
  • 1/2 cup parmesan (to serve)
  • 500grams dried penne
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • 2tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 pinch sea salt ground (to taste)

Method

Step 1 of 3

Wash broccoli and break into small florets. Bring a large saucepan of salted water to boil, add broccoli and cook for 2 minutes until just tender. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.

Step 2 of 3

Bring water back to the boil and add penne. Cook for 8-10 minutes until al dente.

Step 3 of 3

Meanwhile, heat oil in a large frypan. Add broccoli and garlic and toss over heat for 1 minute. Drain pasta and add to pan with parmesan. Season with pepper and toss to combine. Divide between serving bowls and serve with extra parmesan.
