- 1 oakleaf lettuce, leaves separated
- 2tablespoons coriander leaves (to serve)
- 1 avocado, deseeded
- 4 truss tomatoes, sliced
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1teaspoons pepper (for seasoning)
- 2 loaf Turkish bread
- 4tablespoons olive oil (for brushing)
- 500grams mexican-style beef burgers
- 1 pinch pink salt ground (to taste)
Method
Step 1 of 3
Lay tomato slices on a large plate. Season with salt. Drizzle with half of the lime juice and season with pepper.
Step 2 of 3
Preheat BBQ on medium-high heat. Brush burgers with a little oil. Cook for 8-12 minutes, turning halfway, until brown and cooked to your liking. Trim ends of Turkish bread and divide each into 4 portions. Split through centres. Lightly toast halves on BBQ.
Step 3 of 3
Divide 8 Turkish bread halves among plates. Spread with avocado and top with lettuce leaves. Add patties, tomato and remaining avocado. Finish with coriander and remaining Turkish bread halves. Serve.
