- 100grams dark chocolate
- 1tablespoons cornflour
- 2teaspoons cocoa powder
- 2 cups milk
- 2teaspoons caster sugar
- 1tablespoons Frangelico liqueur
- 2tablespoons mascarpone
- 1tablespoons chopped dry roasted hazelnuts
Description
Amp up your favourite comforting beverage with a splash of Frangelico – the hazelnut liqueur perfectly complements the chocolate. This Italian-style recipe will definitely warm you up.

Swap tip:For a non-alcoholic version, omit Frangelico and replace with 1 tbs hazelnut spread.
Method
Step 1 of 2
Shave 1 tsp chocolate and reserve. Roughly chop remaining chocolate. Place cornflour and cocoa in a medium saucepan. Gradually add milk, stirring until smooth and combined. Add chopped chocolate and sugar. Place over low heat. Cook, stirring for 5 minutes or until chocolate melts and mixture has slightly thickened. Stir in liqueur.

Place mascarpone in a small bowl. Whisk until just soft peaks form (don’t over-whisk). Divide mixture between 2 mugs. Dollop with mascarpone and top with reserved shaved chocolate and hazelnuts. Serve.
