Description

This quick, easy and tasty Asian-style pork steak and chilli greens dish is best served with hot steamed rice.

Method

Step 1 of 3

In a small bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, half of the garlic, half of salt and pepper, hoisin sauce and Shaoxing wine. Marinade the pork steaks for at least 15 minutes to overnight.

Step 2 of 3

In a non stick pan over medium high, heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, chillies and the rest of the garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Tip in the bok choy and cook while toss it around until the bok choy's core is tender for about 3 more minutes. Set aside.

Step 3 of 3

Drain the marinade, mix the marinade with water and set aside. Heat a large non stick skillet over high heat, add the rest of the oil and cook pork for one minute each side. Lower to heat to medium and cook each side 4-5 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to rest for 5 minutes. Add the reserved marinade and bring to the boil; simmer for 1 minute until thick. Serve the steak with the greens and hot rice.
