Description
When it comes to homemade hash browns, these certainly deliver the crisp factor while being soft and tender on the inside.
Method
Step 1 of 4
Coarsely grate the potatoes onto a clean tea towel, then squeeze out the excess liquid by twisting the towel.
Step 2 of 4
Transfer potato to a bowl. Add egg and sage and stir to combine. Season.
Step 3 of 4
Heat oil in a heavy-based frying pan. Add large spoonfuls of the mixture for 2-3 minutes or until golden and crisp, then turn and cook for a further 2-3 minutes.
Step 4 of 4
Fry extra sage leaves until crisp to garnish. Serve.
