- 1 crusty cob loaf
- 1/2 cup Woolworths mozzarella, cheddar and parmesan shredded blend
- 4 sprigs thyme
Description
A delicious camping appetiser where melted cheese, garlic and butter ooze out of a crispy cob loaf. Great for tearing and sharing with a crowd.
Method
Step 1 of 3
Preheat a small oven, or camp fire. Remove 2 cloves from garlic head and slice. Cut remaining head in half and wrap in foil. Cook garlic head over a fire for 30 minutes or until soft.
Step 2 of 3
Combine butter and parsley in a bowl. Using a small sharp knife, score the top of bread into small cubes. Brush top of bread with parsley butter. Place garlic slices inside scores, then sprinkle with cheese and half of the thyme.
Step 3 of 3
Place bread in a large cast iron frying pan. Cover with foil and cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes or until butter melts and bread is lightly golden brown. Sprinkle with remaining thyme. Serve with garlic head.
