- 10 tomatillos, husks removed, washed
- 2 serrano chilies, stems removed
- 1/2 white onion, peeled, roughly chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, peeled
- 500milliliter water
- 1/2 bunch coriander, leaves and stems roughly chopped
- 2 lime juiced
- 1 pinch salt

Description
This fresh and spicy sauce is found on every table in Mexico, allowing you to turn up the heat when drizzled on your favourite dishes.
Method
Step 1 of 3
Add the tomatillos, chilies, onions, garlic and water to a pot bringing it to a simmer on the stove top for 10 minutes. Drain the water from the ingredients allowing them to cool to room temperature.
Step 2 of 3
Place the tomatillos, chili's, onions, garlic, coriander and lime juice to a blender, pulse until the sauce is smooth.
Step 3 of 3
Season with salt before having chilled.
