Description

This flourless chocolate orange cake looks and tastes fantastic and takes just 4 ingredients to make.

Method

Step 1 of 4

Pre-heat the oven to 150°C/130°C fan-forced and line a springform round cake tin with parchment paper.

Step 2 of 4

Melt the butter and chocolate in a large bowl in the microwave, working in 30 second bursts and stirring in between.

Step 3 of 4

Beat the egg yolks in a large bowl with 50g of sugar using a handheld electric mixer. Beat for 4-5 minutes until pale and fluffy. In a standmixer, whisk the egg whites to soft peaks and gradually add the rest of the sugar, whisking all the time, until stiff peaks form.

Step 4 of 4

Fold the chocolate mix into the egg yolk mix to combine. Gradually fold in the egg whites gently until just incorporated. Tip the batter into the cake tin and bake for 45-50 minutes. Leave to cool for 10 minutes before slicing.
