Calling all lasagne lovers! This simple dish is easy on the wallet and bursting with comforting Italian flavours.

Method

Step 1 of 4

Preheat oven to 210°C/190°C fan-forced. Lightly grease a 20x25cm, 3cm-deep baking dish.

Step 2 of 4

Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Cook mince, breaking up with a wooden spoon, for 10 minutes or until browned. Stir in tomato, pizza sauce and ⅓ cup water. Simmer for 5 minutes or until sauce has thickened slightly.

Step 3 of 4

Combine ricotta, 1/3 cup water and half of the cheese in a small bowl.

Step 4 of 4

Spoon one-quarter of the mince mixture over the base of the baking dish. Top with 3 lasagne sheets, one-third of the mince mixture followed by one-third of the ricotta mixture. Continue layering, finishing with ricotta. Top with remaining cheese. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is golden and melted. Serve.
