- 200grams chestnut mushrooms, halved
- 2 medium onion, peeled, chopped
- 100grams gluten free bread, torn
- 1teaspoons thyme, dried
- 1/2teaspoons garlic powder
- 1teaspoons tamari
- 400grams black beans, canned, drained
- 4 gluten free rolls
- 40grams cheddar cheese, sliced
- 1teaspoons olive oil
Description
These mushroom and black bean burgers are tasty and can make a delicious dinner.
Method
Step 1 of 5
Pre-heat the oven to 200°C/180°C fan-forced. Prepare a foil lined baking tray.
Step 2 of 5
In a food processor, blitz the onion, mushrooms, bread, thyme, garlic powder, black pepper and tamari to a fine crumb.
Step 3 of 5
Add the drained black beans to the food processor and pulse to form a smooth mixture.
Step 4 of 5
Divide the mixture into 4 thick burger patties, place them on the baking tray and brush with olive oil on each side. Bake for 20 minutes, then add the cheese and bake for 5 more minutes.
Step 5 of 5
Remove from the oven and place in gluten free rolls to serve, along with toppings of your choice.
