  • 1 spring onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 long green chilli, sliced

Description

Celebrate the seasonal and the simple with Australian asparagus spears fresh off a grill with chilli, parmesan and a squeeze of lemon.

Method

Step 1 of 3

Heat a chargrill pan or barbecue grill to high. Combine oil and garlic in a bowl. Add lemon to pan and cook for 1-2 minutes each side or until charred. Transfer to a serving plate.

Step 2 of 3

Brush asparagus with some garlic oil, then add asparagus to grill and cook, turning occasionally, for 3 minutes or until asparagus is just tender. Transfer to plate with lemon. Season.

Step 3 of 3

Drizzle asparagus with any remaining garlic oil, then sprinkle with onion, chilli and parmesan. Serve.
