  • 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup Top ‘n’ Fill Caramel
  • 200grams dark chocolate, melted
  • 1 cup salted pretzel twists

Description

Try your hand at this chocolate slice recipe. Salty pretzels mingle with sweet chocolate in this delectable party-worthy treat.

Method

Step 1 of 5

Grease an 18 x 28cm slice pan. Line base and sides with baking paper, extending paper 3cm above edges on long sides.

Step 2 of 5

Place crackers in a food processor and process until finely chopped.

Step 3 of 5

Melt butter and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat until smooth and combined. Add to processor and process until combined. Using back of a metal spoon, press mixture over base of pan to compact. Freeze until required. Clean and dry saucepan.

Step 4 of 5

Place caramel in same small saucepan over high heat. Cook, stirring, for 3 minutes or until thick. Spread caramel over cracker layer. Freeze for 10 minutes or until set.

Step 5 of 5

Spread chocolate over caramel layer. Scatter over pretzels. Refrigerate for 10 minutes or until set. Cut into rough shards to resemble bark. Serve.
