  • 340grams Woolworths vanilla cake mix
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 60grams unsalted butter, melted
  • 16 Woolworths ice-cream cups
  • 800grams vanilla frosting
  • 1 cup Woolworths icing sugar mixture, sifted
  • 1/4teaspoons pink food colouring
  • 1/4 cup sprinkles

Cake cones can be made 1 day ahead and stored in an airtight container. Top with frosting on the day of serving.

Method

Step 1 of 3

Preheat oven to 190°C/170°C fan-forced.

Step 2 of 3

Using an electric stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, beat cake mix, milk, eggs and butter on medium speed for 1 minute or until smooth. Spoon mixture into cones until two-thirds full. Carefully transfer to a large baking tray and bake for 18-20 minutes or until cake has risen and a skewer inserted into the centres comes out clean. Set aside for 30 minutes to cool completely.

Place frosting, icing sugar and food colouring in a bowl. Beat with a wooden spoon until well combined. Transfer mixture to a piping bag fitted with a 1.5cm star nozzle. Pipe a swirl of frosting onto each cone, then top with sprinkles. Serve.
