- 1teaspoons sesame oil
- 2 red capsicums, deseeded, cut into 2-3cm pieces
- 2tablespoons coriander leaves (to serve)
- 1tablespoons ginger, grated
- 2 onions, cut into 2-3cm pieces
- 1tablespoons mirin
- 2tablespoons red miso paste
- 2teaspoons sesame seeds, toasted
- 1tablespoons soy sauce
- 1tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1kilograms beef rump, cut into 2-3cm pieces
Method
Step 1 of 3
To make the marinade, combine 2tbs miso, 1 tbs mirin, 1 tbs grated ginger, 1 tbs soy sauce, 1 tsp sesame oil and 1 tsp ground pepper in a shallow dish.

Add beef to marinade and turn to coat. Cover and chill for at least 2 hours or overnight.
Step 3 of 3
Preheat a barbecue grill or chargrill pan over medium-high heat. Thread beef, capsicum and onion, alternating, onto 8 skewers. Brush with oil. Cook skewers for 6-8 minutes, turning and brushing with marinade, or until slightly charred and cooked through. Transfer to a plate and set aside to rest, lightly covered with foil, for 5 minutes. Serve skewers sprinkled with sesame seeds and coriander.
