Method

Step 1 of 4

Preheat oven to 200°C. Line a 12-hole medium muffin tray with paper cases.

Step 2 of 4

Combine self-raising flour and caster sugar in a large bowl. Whisk butter, eggs, milk and vanilla extract in a bowl. Add butter mixture to flour mixture and gently stir until combined.

Step 3 of 4

Divide batter evenly between paper cases. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until cakes are cooked through when tested with a skewer.

Step 4 of 4

Transfer to a wire rack to cool. When cold, decorate as desired.
