The Papple is a cross between Chinese and Japanese pear species. It is highly attractive with a red-orange blush over a yellow background. It has a mild sweet tropical flavour with a crisp and juicy texture. Papple is unlike the typical European style pear, it's ready to eat and does not need time to ripen and soften.

Pick a papple pear that is firm, dense with a nice red blush.
Be gentle with Papple, their skin are very delicate and marks easily!
