How to Pick:
Start with smell. Pick a mango that has a sweet mango aroma. Squeeze the mango gently. A ripe mango will give slightly. Calypso® have great shelf life and are best when completely ripe, allow fruit to reach full colour with no signs of green for best eating experience.
How to Store:
To get the best taste out of your mangoes, follow these simple storage tips:
- If your mangoes are not ripe enough, store them at room temperature and out of the sun for a few days until ripe
- Never store mangoes in plastic bags – mangoes need air!
Where it's Grown:
Mangoes are grown in the tropical and sub tropical climates of Australia. Main growing areas include Darwin & Katherine in the NT, Mareeba, Bowen & Bundaberg in QLD and Kununurra & Carnarvon in WA.
