Description
Getting children to eat anything healthy at a party is not easy; making the savoury choices attractive helps.
Method
Step 1 of 5
Spread all the slices of bread on one side only with softened butter or margarine.
Step 2 of 5
Place 4 of the wholemeal bread slices, buttered-side up, on a cutting board, and lay a piece of ham on each.
Step 3 of 5
Top the ham with a white slice of bread, buttered-side down. Butter the top of the bread, then put 4 pieces of cucumber on top of each.
Step 4 of 5
Finally, spread the buttered side of the remaining wholemeal bread with 1 tbs of cream cheese spread per slice and put it, cheese-side down, on the cucumber to make a three-tiered sandwich. Press down well.
Step 5 of 5
Trim the sandwiches of their crusts, then cut each sandwich into 9 small squares to serve.
