  • 48grams short-grain ricefbut (such as Arborio)
  • 2 1/3 cups whole milk
  • 3tablespoons sugar
  • 1 1/2tablespoons butter (save 1/2 tbs for the dish)
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon

Method

Step 1 of 2

Lightly butter the dish. Rinse the rice under cold running water, then drain well. Combine the rice and the milk in a bowl and let stand for 30 minutes.

Step 2 of 2

Preheat the oven to 150°C. Stir the sugar into the rice. Pour into the dish, dot with butter, and sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake for 2 1/2 hours, or until the top is golden.
