Description
Nice but not so naughty. Canned black beans are the surprise ingredient here, creating a brownie that is moist, fudgy and delicious.
Method
Step 1 of 4
Preheat the oven to 180°C (Gas 4). Lightly oil a 28 x18cm metal baking tin. In a food processor, combine the black beans, agave, coconut oil, vanilla extract, and orange zest until smooth.
Step 2 of 4
In a large mixing bowl, combine the salt, baking powder, sugar, and cocoa powder. Incorporate the black bean mixture and aquafaba until well mixed.
Step 3 of 4
Gently fold in the chocolate chips, being careful not to overwork the mixture.
Step 4 of 4
Pour the mixture into the baking tin. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until the brownies pull away from the edge and a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean. Leave to cool for 15-20 minutes before cutting and serving.
