The MAXTRA+ filter is made up of micro carbon pearls, which are derived from coconut shells, as well as ion exchange pearls. The micro carbon pearls adsorb chlorine and other taste impairing substances, while the ion exchange pearls reduce any metals and impurities, if found in your tap water. Furthermore, the MAXTRA+ Pure Performance filters also contain a fine mesh for reduction of rough particles.
