Gingin Organics

Gingin, Western Australia
A passion for sustainable organics their secret to success.

Australian Organic Farmers

Gingin Organics will use the Woolworths Organic Growth Fund to improve productivity to confidently meet consumer demand.

The commercial-scale certified organic farm located near Gingin, 90km north of Perth, Western Australia, is run by Lynda and Noel Harding. Originally purchased in 2003 as a conventional stone fruit orchard, the Harding’s transitioned to organic production and successfully became Certified Organic in July 2010 and since then have also achieved both Freshcare HARPS Certification, which assists with compliance to food safety, legal and trade legislation for suppliers of major grocery retailers in Australia.

Lynda and Noel have a healthier farm management philosophy and Lynda believes it is their passion for sustainable, organic farming that is the secret to their success.

The Woolworths Organic Growth Fund will enable Gingin Organics to streamline their processes.

‘We have a reputation for quality and consistency of supply in varied vegetable lines, including challenging lines such as organic celery,’ says Lynda. ‘We provide a high-quality product and have been rewarded by Woolworths with the supply of lines like organic celery hearts.’

The Harding’s believe the productivity improvements that will result from the Woolworths Organic Growth Fund will make organics more affordable, closing the gap between organic and non-organic produce pricing.

‘We want to support consumers on their journey to buy and eat more organic produce by continuing to provide the best quality organic produce possible,’ says Lynda. ‘We value Woolworth’s belief in and commitment to ensuring a consistent market for our produce’ said Lynda.
