Woolworths Supermarkets Wins Finder Green Supermarket of the Year 2021 Award.

In June 2021, Woolworths was named Green Supermarket of the Year by Finder - an achievement we’re thrilled to share on World Environment Day 2021.

We're passionate about making positive changes that our customers can see in their shopping baskets, as well as doing things differently behind the scenes to make our entire business more sustainable. We’re reducing plastic, increasing recycling, prioritising sustainable sourcing and working towards a future where we take more carbon out of the atmosphere than we produce. In particular, Finder's judges recognised our science-based emissions targets and our commitment to external benchmarks, as well as supplier engagement.

For us, today isn’t only about celebrating all the ways we’re growing greener - it’s also about recognising there’s more to do. Some changes won’t happen overnight, but through partnerships, innovation and ambition, we’re laying the groundwork today for a better tomorrow.
