Red Cayenne Chillies are a mild-medium chilli, with sweet notes, often referred to as a 'long red'. They are a great all-rounder chilli for those who are after adding a hint of heat that is family-friendly.
Use Red Cayennes in a range of family favourites such as chilli con carne, bolognese, lasagne, soups, stews and more. Red Cayennes are also perfect to use as a substitute for any recipe that call for hotter red chillies, such as Asian salads and curries, where you want to keep the flavour but control the heat.
How to Store:
Best stored in the refrigerator. Do not fully cover fresh chillies to prevent condensation and encourage long life.
Freeze leftover chillies for future use: wash then pat dry with a paper towel or clean cloth then cut off the stems, slice and freeze in a container or freezer bag.
Where They're Grown:
Chillies are grown in the tropical and subtropical climates of Australia. The majority of our chillies are grown in Bundaberg in QLD, which has the ideal climate for growing chillies.
