The Woolworths Fresh Food Future program reaffirms our commitment to investing in the future of rural Australia

As the debate around long term food availability and affordability intensifies, Woolworths believes it’s vital for all organisations involved in the food supply chain to adopt a leadership position to help safeguard Australia’s future food security. Higher input costs, climate change, and a rising population have the potential to impact the food we eat. So now’s the time for industry to help farmers adapt and thrive.

With an investment of $3.25 million in 2010, the Fresh Food Future program draws together a number of initiatives – the two core
areas of focus are:

To advance agricultural sustainability, and
Help build leadership capacity in the sector.

The program allows Woolworths to better support the projects already operating, as well as develop new initiatives.
