Apprenticeships
Woolworths has more apprentice Butchers than any other Australian company. Apprenticeships are completed over 3 - 4 years through a combination of on-job training in our stores, and off-job training at local TAFE colleges.
Qualifications
All Woolworths Managerial Staff have access to two nationally recognised qualifications: a Diploma of Retail Management (Woolworths Limited) and a Diploma of Buying and Marketing (Woolworths Limited).
Graduate Program
In-store Woolworths employees have the opportunity to participate in a graduate program with one of our support offices across a range of specialist areas, including buying and marketing, IT, finance and property.
Fresh Training
In order to reinforce the importance of fresh food, Woolworths has also provided fresh training for our employees. This was the largest training project Woolworths has ever undertaken - and involved over 3000 workshops throughout Australia, for over 75,000 staff. This training was designed to give our people added confidence and in-depth understanding of our fresh food offering - to in turn, better service our customers.
